Ready, Set, Panic.

Well it's officially panicking time. That's right, I have less than 24 hours to pack my life into 2 "luggages" and one carry-on.

I'm not sure about how much time I will have to post here in the next week. Supposedly I have a packed schedule. Today I was helping Barbara Bailey at the Kansas City-Kurashiki (sister cities) 35th anniversary shindig and was reminded how Japan profects this image of organisation overseas. Kurashiki has sent over 4-5 hundred people to tour Kansas City and had their opening ceremonies this morning at UMKC. I glanced at the schedule and every speaker was to start and end at a certain time. Unfortunately someone had rocked the boat and started the ceremony late, so every schedule had to be updated to show the correct time. I can only imagine I'll have my share of this attention to detail to tide me over for a while.

But then again, I'm reminded of the most unorganised year of my life in Tokyo. So I could have more time than I think. We'll see.

But basically I'm leaving for Chicago tomorrow (27th) and will have an orientation of sorts with the Consulate-General's office. Then I'll leave Chicago on the 28th and arrive in Tokyo on the 29th. The 30th, 31st and 1st of August will be a "post-arrival orientation" in Tokyo for all the new JETs this year. Then I don't know.
