Today the main complaint of the room was “ehhhhhhhhh???? Why did they have to put pineapple in with something savory? That makes no sense. I like pineapple, but not with anything salty.” The teachers here pick the strangest things to finally be upset about. No one cares that the main item in last week’s menu was a donut, but pineapple with sweet and sour pork? OMFG. The world is going to end.
The pork thing was pretty good though. It was a bit oily, but what can you do. It was exactly like sweet and sour pork with pineapples.
The noodle salad was good. Last week it was served with that doughnut and the salad really clashed things up. But in today’s menu, the noodle salad fit well. Learn this lesson lunch ladies.
Seaweed is unfortunately just not an appetizing word in English. Nothing can convince you that it’s good until you try it. I’ll leave the issue at that.
The wonton soup thing was another interesting dish. I don’t think I remember clearly what wontons are, but I thought they were more dumpling-like. The “wontons” today seemed like the skin on the outside of those dumplings. Granted, it was good. Just not expected.
