First of all, that “parched deutzia stew” thing was a bit wrong. It had the texture of soggy bread. It didn’t taste all that bad though. Along with whatever duzia is, there was some chicken and some vegetables in the mystery mush. (I just did a Wikipedia search and it turns out that duetzia is another name for okara, the stuff that you filter out to make soy milk. I've had it before as this Japanese dish and it was pretty rank. That being said, it's in most of the vegetarian burgers that we make in the US.)

The fish was good. My slice of the fish was extra crispy so the skin came right off. A very happy day pour moi. I’ve become quite the expert at peeling off fish skin with my chopsticks; even Japanese people can’t do that.

The soup today was another dud. It has this thickener in it that makes it feel syrupy to me. They should just stick with miso soup. No need to make the other soups feel loved; they’re not.
