Kyuushoku for 23 Feb

Tuesday

Bread roll(小パン)
Spaghetti soup(スープスパゲティ)
Clumped vegetable fry(野菜のかき揚げ)
Sesame cream(ごまクリーム)

854 Kcal
31.3 g of protein

I’m pretty sure that this soup spaghetti thing had scallops in it. It could be the lingering concussion from the ski lift on Sunday, but I didn’t mind it so much. The soup itself is just like a cream soup, and there’s spaghetti in it. I don’t get it, but maybe that’s the point. Maybe the world needs spaghetti in its soups.

The vegetable fry thing wasn’t too bad. I don’t know why the lunch ladies insist on frying these kind of things. They just get soft and mushy. It would be not only better for you, but better in general if you didn’t fry it. It could have been that the lunch ladies were afraid that they were under today’s calorie ration, so they decided to fry the vegetables to up the fattage. These walking skeletons called “students” probably need it though.

The possibly pregnant woman told me today that the sesame cream today was just about the most delicious thing in the world. She said that she’d never had it before the last time it came in the lunch and had been dreaming about it since. I didn’t want to ruin her dreams, so I didn’t tell her that they sell this at pretty much every supermarket in Japan.
