First of all, that is the scariest picture of a salmon I’ve ever seen.
I love kyuushoku salmon. That sounds strange but for some reason they always grill salmon perfectly in my opinion. Considering it sits in a glorified Tupperware container for a couple hours, that’s saying something. Skills, ladies. Skills.
Burdock root (gobo), along with lotus root (renkon) are probably my favourite Japanese vegetables. I don’t even know if they are actually vegetables, but I like them. The kyuushoku ladies tend to always do a good job when bringing out these things. Today was no different.
The soup was a basic egg drop soup. It passed.
The two strawberries I got today were both ripe and sweet. The kyuushoku ladies have been on a roll with this. So now I’m afraid of when this lucky streak will end and what nasty fruit-like plant I will bite into and find out that this fruit-like mass should still be attached to the ground for another month. It’s inevitable.
