Miso won-ton soup(みそワンタンスープ)

The lunch ladies obviously took this chance to experiment with a new recipe or two.

First off, the basics. The rice was as bland and white as ever. Maybe the taste was extra bland-ed from the new and very different flavours coming from everywhere else today. The noodle salad thing was good. We’ve had this before many times. It’s nice to see a friendly face.

The shrimp in chili-sauce wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t great. The sauce itself was nice, but the shrimp were just about the tiniest things you can buy before they’re legally referred to as “plankton”. Although the sauce was good, that’s all you could taste and it was oily to boot.

The miso won-ton soup was another mistake. Won-ton soup was already a whole soup on its own; I don’t think it needs miso. Miso soup is a soup on it’s own, it doesn’t need won-tons. The mixture ended up tasting like bread dough. I have no idea how that came to be.
