When I switch schools, sometimes I get repeat kyuushokus. Today is one of those days.

Except for the more typical looking cheese, the sandwich was about the same. I noticed that a lot of the teachers didn’t know what to do when they had to make their own sandwich. One teacher near me was tearing her bread off and putting the vegetables and stuff on top, like a cracker. She would also squeeze a tiny bit of mayonnaise on top each time. Not exactly efficient, but she had an hour to kill, so who cares. I saw another teacher eat everything separately, dipping his bread into the soup and putting the mayonnaise and cheese in his newly made salad. Other teachers just shoved everything in there and ate it like that.

Usually “stew” in Japan is made really thick, but today it tasted more like an actual soup. It tasted almost exactly what I called vegetable soup in America. It was a bit lacking in the vegetables, but I guess it was called beef stew.
