Kyuushoku for 23 March

Tuesday

Bread roll(小パン)
Milk(牛乳)
Fried chicken ham cutlet(磯辺チキンハムカツ)
Cod roe spaghetti(たらこスパゲティ)
Vegetable soup(野菜スープ)
Kiwi(キウィ)

This is the last day of kyuushoku for the year. The Japanese school year runs from April to March. A lot of things change and there’s no pattern to any of it, so it might be that the kyuushoku centre changes as well. There’s no telling.

The kiwi was ripe, no complaints. Last year it seemed like every time I went to eat a kiwi, you could barely slice into it with the spoon that they give you.

I didn’t know that chickens had ham, but it was good. The actual name of the ham thing was “Beach shore style chicken ham cutlet”. I don’t know what was so beachy about it. Maybe they put some algae into it.

The cod roe spaghetti was not as terrible as I imagined it would be. It just had almost no taste whatsoever. I don’t really like the tiny fish eggs that stick in your teeth, so that was my only problem. At least it doesn’t have a taste I guess.

The soup was pretty standard.
