Kyuushoku for 4 March

Thursday
Request Menu

Apple bread roll(小アップルパン)
Milk(牛乳)
Neapolitan spaghetti(スパゲッティナポリタン)
Grilled chicken frank(焼きチキンフランク)
Yogurt fruit salad(フルーツヨーグルト)

995 Kcal
36.8 g of protein

I’m not sure what the request exactly was. The menu seemed like a list of typical foods Japanese kids tend to like. Neapolitan spaghetti was pretty much just ketchup mixed into spaghetti with some vegetables (cabbage, mushrooms etc.) and some pork. I don’t really know what real Neapolitan spaghetti is supposed to be. All I know is that the Ice Cream in Naples apparently has only three flavours: vanilla, strawberry and chocolate.

The apple roll was pretty good I guess. There were tiny little pieces of apple every now and then, but it wasn’t as sweet as I expected it to be. The gym teacher didn’t scream about it like she did for the carrot bread.

The yogurt fruit salad was exactly those three things: fruit (mandarin oranges and pineapple), salad (cabbage, lettuce and cucumbers) and yogurt. It wasn’t bad really, but something wasn’t wired correctly in the lunch ladies’ heads today. Maybe they thought that a yogurt salad was self-explanatory and didn’t feel the need to look up any recipe.

Then there was that hot dog thing made from chicken. Whatever.
