Hyogo Fish Day
Curry and rice(カレーライス)
Milk(牛乳)
Fried octopus(タコのから揚げ)
Pineapple salad(パインサラダ)
899 Kcal
30.3 g of protein
Today was Hyogo fish day, but the fish was octopus. I’m not sure I would categorize an octopus as a fish, but maybe it is. Whatever it belongs to, it was delicious. Octopus is one of many things that I wouldn’t have imagined liking.
Curry rice day was the same as it always is. No complaints there.
But then there was that disaster dubbed “pineapple salad”. Japanese food on the whole tends to be sweet (to me) anyway, so combining actual sweet and savoury foods can be risky. A good example is that oatmeal here is sold with a picture of oatmeal being served with mushrooms. The salad today had some sort of weird sour/salty flavour that was just not good. The salad had cabbage, cucumbers and pineapple, so that’s not surprising that it didn’t work. Plus someone added black pepper closing the deal. The salad was full of taste, just not a taste I would ever like to relive.
