Kyuushoku for 19 May

Wednesday

Mabo Tofu rice bowl(マーボーどんぶり)
Milk(牛乳)
Spring roll(はるまき)
Bean sprout namul(もやしのナムル)

861 Kcal
32.5 g of protein

Mabo Tofu is this “spicy” stew with lots tofu in it. The kyuushoku version isn’t too spicy, but if a Chinese person makes it for you, it tends to be pretty spicy. I had it at a restaurant the other day and I think the cook was trying to kill me.

Today’s spring roll wasn’t as crispy as usual. But what can you do. I mean, the thing does sit in a glorified Tupperware container for hours.

The menu today was supposed to be some sort of Chinese thing, but I thought that namul is Korean. Seeing as in Japan, Japan isn’t in Asia. Maybe today was an “Asian” menu.
