Kyuushoku for 22 June

Tuesday
A Taste of the World: Italy

Bread roll(小パン)
Milk(牛乳)
Fried chicken cutlet(チキンカツ)
Basil salad(バジルサラダ)
Minestrone soup(ミネストローネ)

824 Kcal
37.0 g of protein

The kyuushoku centre has made minestrone soup before, but I don’t remember it being good. This could be a product of my ever dying taste buds though. Some of the teachers freaked out because there was bits of spaghetti in the soup. “FLAMING EFFIGY OF MARIA! HOW CAN WE EAT THIS SOUP WITH A SPOON???!?!??!!!” was the approximate English equivalent of their freakout.

The basil salad was really nice. Once again, this could just be because I haven’t had fresh basil in a long time. The salad was just cucumbers and cabbage, but it was perfect for this warm day.

The fried chicken thing was interesting. The breading reminded me of something you would do at a fish fry. It was good though.
